We are selecting 25 students across Canada, who will be awarded a one-time $5,000 scholarship towards eligible school expenses, and an opportunity to complete a work term at one of our Canadian offices this year.
The Black Student and Indigenous Student Scholarships are being offered to 25 candidates nationally, who meet the following criteria:

  • You are eligible to work in Canada
  • You self-identify as Black or Indigenous (Inuit, First Nations or Métis)
  • You are enrolled in post-secondary education in Canada (full-time or part-time)
  • You are a 2nd, 3rd or 4th-year student

If you identify as both Indigenous and Black, you are welcome to apply to either scholarship.

As part of our Youth Education Program we provide up to 25 scholarships a year to undergraduates studying international business at university or college. We also make five international business scholarships available to students in programs that combine business with environmental or sustainability studies.
Each scholarship is worth $4,000. You can apply anytime from the start of November to the end of February.

8. National Bank Financial Markets

Up to 7 successful candidates will each be granted an employment opportunity (either an internship or full-time employment) in our Corporate & Investment Banking or Sales & Trading areas depending on their skillset and area of interest. In addition to the employment opportunity, a $5,000 bonus will be awarded to the successful recipient(s). The selected candidate(s) will be paired with a mentor from our Financial Markets group, ensuring a link between the recipient and National Bank throughout their studies.

9. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)

The scholarship will provide financial support to post-secondary students who are Black, Indigenous and/or Persons with Disabilities, studying in accounting, business and/or STEM and demonstrate our five PwC Professional attributes. Up to ten (10) scholarships available. Each scholarship is for C$5,000. Scholarship recipients will receive an offer of paid employment at PwC Canada (acceptance of position is optional and will not impact receipt of scholarship). Scholarship recipients will be paired with a professional from PwC Canada who’ll provide mentorship and coaching for one year

Our Inclusion Scholarship aims at supporting the Black and Indigenous Communities of Canada, as we strive to create a more inclusive environment for all. This scholarship will help students get financial support, an exciting internship in a leading financial institution, mentorship and professional coaching from our management team, and the possibility to have a full time employment opportunity upon graduation. Up to Twenty (20) scholarships will be available at the bachelor or master’s level. These scholarships are valued at $5,000 CAD per year, available for one academic year. The scholarship also includes: A 4-month internship within, Sun Life for summer 2022, Career and professional mentorship from Sun Life during the internship, Possibility for a full time offer to join Sun Life upon graduation

Description

This award is open to all Indigenous candidates (First Nations, Inuit and Metis) who are attending post-secondary institutions (i.e. college or university) with demonstrated financial need for contributions to education costs. Preference will be given to students studying in the following academic programs: Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources, Communications and Marketing.
